About the Role

Read scripts and storylines to understand animation requirements
Collaborate with production crew (designers, directors etc.)
Prepare presentations with storyboards that depict the script and narrative
Drawing in 2D & 3D to create sketches, artwork or illustrations for the initial stages of production
Building up accurate, detailed, frame-by-frame visuals
Join images with background graphics and special effects
Ensure synchronization of frames and audio
Participate in the editing process
Using a range of materials, including modelling clay, plaster, oil paints, watercolours and acrylics
Developing the timing and pace of the movements of a character or object during the sequence of images and ensuring they follow the soundtrack and audio requirements
Working to production deadlines and meeting clients' commercial requirements
Training and knowledge sharing with juniors and colleagues.


  • Proven experience as an animator

  • Knowledge of 2D/3D, stop motion, video editing and computer-generated animation

  • Proficient in CGI software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Camtasia, Adobe animate, 3ds Max, Maya, LightWave, Softimage and Cinema 4D

  • Artistic talent and technical skills

  • A good eye for detail

  • Creative storytelling with presentation abilities

  • Ability to work with others and to take direction

  • Comfortable working with deadlines and budget restrictions

  • The flexibility to switch between several projects at once.

  • Critical delivery handling
